IT’S TIME TO HELP!
Friends of Downtown Menlo Park,
At this Tuesday's Nov. 4 meeting, City Council can adopt our Citizens' Initiative, or they can send it to a future ballot. (Council may also request a study, giving an extra month to decide.)
If they adopt it now, the Downtown Parking Plazas Ordinance would become law – and the City could not repurpose the parking lots without voter approval. If they send it to ballot, we will have to wait up to a year for an election.
We're urging Council to adopt the ordinance now. Here's how you can help:
1 - Plan to attend the Council Meeting - Wear Blue!
Tuesday, Nov. 4, 6:00 PM | 701 Laurel St.
Speaking will help, but just bodies in blue will signal support.
2 - Email Council Now
Give your perspective and ask that the Downtown Parking Plazas ordinance be adopted: city.council@menlopark.gov
Or click this button to use our message - send it as-is, or edit it, or simply add a P.S. about yourself and why this matter to you.
Click here if the message did not appear in your email.
Let’s show Council that the people of Menlo Park deserve to decide the future of their downtown. Please send our message, come Tuesday, be respectful, and wear blue!
Thank you,
Save Downtown Menlo
P.S. Please forward this email to friends, neighbors, and anyone who cares about downtown Menlo Park.
